Site search

This page searches what is already published on this site. The search runs in the browser: the index of published pages is downloaded once, and the words typed into the box are matched against it locally. Nothing typed here is sent anywhere — there is no search server behind this box, and no record of any query is kept.

What the index contains

Only published pages enter the index. Drafts stay out of it, and so do pages that exist in another language but not in this one. A search that returns nothing therefore says where the work has reached, not what the subject is worth.
